In an odd twist in the saga of continuous leaks related to the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6), an anonymous leaker has said that he/they might leak the entire game.
An anonymous entity (or person) going by the name CyberLeek has apparently revealed that he/they have a complete, playable build of GTA 6 with the full storyline. As part of an announcement on October 10 titled 'The Offer,' the leaker has made the bold claim that he/they will drop the full game build when the CYBERLEEK token reaches a $30 million market cap.
The leaker, CyberLeek, has also made a conditional offer for GTA 6 publisher Take-Two Interactive to avoid having the game dumped. As per the offer, Take-Two needs to commit to providing physical discs of the game and publish an apology. There has been no confirmation regarding the legitimacy of the full game.
The CYBERLEEK token is a Solana meme coin that the leaker has been using alongside the leaked footage. The market cap of the CYBERLEEK token at the moment is around $2.87 million, not even close to the stated target.
Long history of leaks around GTA 6
A new set of leaks began surfacing on Aug. 18 as CyberLeek began releasing snippets of gameplay footage featuring GTA 6's protagonists Jason and Lucia. It showed new activities inside the game.
It seemed like the leaker had direct access to a playable development build rather than just a compilation of previously recorded footage. Also, the leaker was seen using watermarks and links in the leaked content to advertise his cryptocurrency.
Later, Rockstar finally confirmed the leaks and went on to say that it was a heartbreaking experience for its development team to see the unauthorized footage leaked. Meanwhile, Take-Two tried to procure subpoenas from different technology companies, including Microsoft and Discord, to identify the source of the leaks.
After staying relatively quiet for several weeks, CyberLeek dropped another set of leaked gameplay footage (around 25 minutes) on Oct. 8. It was said to feature new cutscenes, first-person driving, and other clips that had never been seen before.
There are still no verifiable claims that CyberLeek has the full story mode of GTA 6 or the promised full build in a deliverable, playable form.
The game is expected to launch on Nov. 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
